Only problem was a neighbor who used the balcony as his smoking area so it meant we couldn't leave our door open as much as we would have liked. Breakfast was well stocked and had good variety. At times it was hard to find a table to sit at, but we shared a table and met some new people. Pool and hot tub were clean and so comfortable. Loved being able to use that. Weather wasn't the best, but when the skies allowed we used the beach. Staff was friendly and provided all we needed. On the internet, looking for accommodations on Mackinac Island, it keeps switching to places in the CITY, without you ever noticing. That’s how we ended up in the CITY. And since we would have to pay the first night for cancelling, we decided to make it an adventure...take the ferry over and spend the night, have a good time, and then take the ferry back and find accommodations on the island for the other 2 nights. We love Mackinac Island and every year after spending a week with airplanes, and all the noise of airplanes, in Oshkosh, we fly over to Mackinac Island for the peace and quiet and the clickety-clack of the horses.... & brunch at the Grand, & a bike tour & a couple of golf putting rounds!
