The Beach House Overview
Seven cottages sit directly on the beachfront the others back up in a U shape from the beach. Everyone staying at the Beach House has access to our private beach.
The Beach House is pet friendly (small pet fee) with 2 animals maximum. All hotel rooms in Michigan are non smoking. Smoking is permitted outdoors.

10 out of 10This place was amazing! The location is perfect with an amazing view of the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinac Island, Round Island, and Bois Blanc Island. Very close to all the shopping and restaurants of Mackinaw City and the ferries. They will even call a shuttle for you for the ferry companies which is so nice so you don't have to stress or pay to park. Our cabin sat on the beach which was beautiful and there were plenty of chairs, picnic tables, and fire pits. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful! 10 out of 10Seriously amazing. My granddaughter and I had the best time, and we loved our cabin. It was clean and well kept, the beds were so comfortable and the cabin was well stocked. Martin was a wonderful, kind host. W were within walking distance to everything we needed. We did the lumberjack show, so fun. Shepplers Ferry picked is up at the cabins very quickly, Martin called for us, then they shuttled us back also. This was a trip for my granddaughters 12th birthday and it was so much fun, we made beautiful memories.. my daughter(her mom) and I had stayed here 22 years ago for a mother daughter trip and the cabins were just as amazing. Maybe placing a little table between the two side chairs would be nice and a small corner shelf inside the shower stall to place soaps and shampoo would be nice, otherwise the lodging is great for a little tourist cabin. 9 out of 10We were originally booked to stay at the The Beach House, however upon arrival the gentleman at the front desk noted that our cabin was very tiny for 2 people and suggested the hotel next door. He called and found there was a room available. I appreciate the switch and ability of the hotel staff to do so. The beds were very comfy and the room was clean. Plenty of towels and toiletries were provided.It was nice to sit in the beach chairs after a long day (though the flies were biting in the evening). We made use of the coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. Coffee/tea in the lobby all day was a nice perk. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to purchase tickets for the ferry and pick up the shuttle at the front door. We checked in during a pretty bad thunderstorm and encountered a leaking window dripping on the windowsill. No stove available in our room, But the fridge is a good size. The big spoiler is the thousand midges. They are so annoying. It was good for us, but a larger person would not find it easy to get around.We were suppose to get a discount for breakfast as stated on the card key to the cabin. 8 out of 10We enjoyed the cabin experience compared to a hotel. We were beachfront so it was so nice to hear the waves coming in. Unfortunately with the sap from the tree there was no place to sit on our deck without sitting in sap (cabin 30). The sheets were not that soft plus there was sand that had not been cleaned off the couch which then transferred to our night clothes which then transferred to the bedneedless to say our first night sleeping was not good. We did bring our own coffee and filters since reading a review that the coffee was not that desirable. Water pressure in the shower was awesome!!We would stay here again.
