The Beach House Overview
Seven cottages sit directly on the beachfront the others back up in a U shape from the beach. Everyone staying at the Beach House has access to our private beach.
The Beach House is pet friendly (small pet fee) with 2 animals maximum. All hotel rooms in Michigan are non smoking. Smoking is permitted outdoors.

We appreciated the upgrade in rooms to accommodate our longer stay and overnight, with a dog, even paying the rate with the other room we originally reserved. 10 out of 10We LOVED our Beach house "cabin" on Lake Michigan! The beds were comfortable and the newly renovated inside and porch great for us! Being right on Lake Michigan was a real treat! Had a nice campfire too at sunset! Thanks Martin! he was our host and made sure we had everything we needed! He made sure that our cabin was nice & cool with the air conditioning running prior to our arrival. The cabin was clean, offered the essential basics & comfortable. The cabins have been nicely updated over the last few years and the beach is probably the most well kept up along that whole stretch. Martin does a great job of keeping everything up, he’s accessible, knowledgeable about the area/history, and friendly. A few items could be updated to match the other renovations, such as the bathroom door and lock, the toilet paper holder, the curtain on the entry door. There is a mauve/pink chair in unit 26 that should be removed as it is broken and a person could tip over sitting in that! The only thing I would say is there needs to be a shelf in the shower to hold shampoo and soap. Also painting the floor of the shower would have been nice, it just looked like dirty concrete. 10 out of 10This place could use some upgrades. It didn't strike as modern or up to date. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of hot water. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. There we're only a few of us in there whenever we used it. That was awesome. The beach was so close and lovely. It was clean and well cared for. There were plenty of grills available for use. The very best part of our stay however, was the gentleman who ran it. Martin was accommodating above and beyond expectations. He was approachable, kind and wanted our stay to be everything we desired it to be. I cannot state this enough. That man deserves a raise. We would definitely return knowing that Martin is there to meet any unexpected needs on our trip. It was like having an accommodating uncle there, making sure you had all that you needed. He gave us a small town welcome which is very rare and very appreciated.
